(Note: All
staff are required to attend staff orientation beginning June 10, 2008) STAFFER/COUNSELOR
Most summer staffers will work as
staffer/counselors during the summer. During the summer camp, counselors
will live and work with the kids 24 hours a day. There will be a maximum
of four weeks of counseling during the summer. Summer camps run from
Sunday afternoon through Friday morning. All counselors will have to
pass a background check and exhibit a level of maturity needed for the
position.
MAINTENANCE CREW
Responsibilities include mowing grass,
trimming grass, garbage pickup, painting, landscaping and more.
Experience is a plus, but not necessary. Everyone will have
opportunities to help with maintenance.
HOUSEKEEPING
STAFF
Housekeeping is responsible for the
daily service given to campers and guests and clean-up and preparation
for camps, retreats, and conferences. Diligence, a servant’s heart, and
a good sense of humor are necessary ingredients of this position.
Everyone will get opportunities to help with; housekeeping.
OFFICE WORKER
Computer skills are a must. Office staff
workers must be friendly and calm under varying circumstances. This is
our first contact with guests.
LIFEGUARDS
Responsible for the safety of any guest
using our beachfront area. All lifeguards must have a waterfront safety
and lifeguard certificate. Responsibilities include enforcing of
beachfront rules, rental of watercraft, beachfront maintenance, safety
oversight, and reporting of incidents.
ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER
Works
closely with the Store Manager. This person must be friendly, organized
and thorough. Responsibilities include customer service, merchandising,
recording charges, inventory, etc.
PROGRAM ASSISTANTS
Program Assistants will work with the
Executive Director to design and implements all programming activities
for youth and family camps. The Programming Assistants will also work
with the staffers to provide opportunities for spiritual growth. This is
a demanding and challenging position and requires previous camp
