  • A disinfectant approved by the CDC and EPA is being used to disinfect for a wide range of viruses, including Covid-19. This disinfectant is used camp-wide to clean lodging, communal bathrooms, and commonly touched surfaces before you arrive.
  • Consistently disinfecting commonly touched surfaces (door handles, door knobs, stall handles & locks, light switches etc) a minimum of three times a day in all communal restrooms and meeting spaces.
  • Housekeepers are adding disinfectant to in-house laundry, room towels and towels used for cleaning.
  • The office is now giving extra soaps and shampoo by request only.

-Parent

“My daughter wants to be baptized as a result of being here this summer.”
-Parent

“I get to meet new friends and learn more about Jesus.”
-Camper

“My favorite thing about Day Camp is learning about God and Jesus.”
-Camper

Cedar Lake Ministries exists to “provide a life-changing environment for evangelism and spiritual growth.”
The environment is the beautiful grounds that is God’s creation, partnered with programmatic elements that enhance a Day Camper’s experience. In Romans 1:20, it says, “For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.” As children were involved in camp and interacted with God’s wonderful creation, their eyes were opened to a loving Creator that desires to be in relationship with them. Evangelism occurred as Team Leaders shared the gospel through making salvation/gospel bracelets with their campers, an 8-year-old boldly shared his testimony of salvation during session times, sessions were grounded in the truth of Scripture, and life change occurred when decisions were made to be saved.

As the summer progressed we saw a steady increase in Day Campers returning for multiple weeks. As a result, this gave Team Leaders an opportunity to build relationships that lead to deeper spiritual conversations that fostered spiritual growth. These conversations led to decisions of obedience by deciding to be baptized, committing to reading their Bibles and pray faithfully, and taking their experiences and living out lessons and small group sessions. This is what makes Catalyst Day Camp distinctively different from other camps: remaining faithful to God and the mission laid out before us, and, as a result, life change occurs!

We served 497 campers this year. What an incredible responsibility and blessing for our Summer Staff and our year-round staff, as well as all of our volunteers. These campers teach us just as much as we strive to teach them. We continue to pray that the seeds that have been planted will grow and flourish and that their hearts will be directed toward Christ and His overwhelming love for them. We pray that they would strive to meet His purposes for their lives and would seek to glorify God in all they do.

We put together a video interviewing four campers who came for a good portion of our All-Summer Day Camp. These campers shared from their hearts what CLM meant to them. Our camps can’t happen without the help of our volunteers and support of our donors. We sincerely thank everyone who helped kids like these campers come to camp this year.
