Take a break from life’s normal routine at Cedar Lake Ministries’ Fall DayBreak.

Be refreshed with an encouraging message from God’s Word and inspiring music. Experience an exquisite buffet lunch, dessert, and a delightful day at the lake! You are invited to enjoy the cool fall weather at Cedar Lake Ministries as The Sound brings a great worship session and Knute Larson brings an empowering message.

The Sound
Throughout the 1980s, The Sound was a quartet based out of Houston, Texas. Twenty-five years later, The Sound had long been a retired name. In 2017, Rob acquired the name and started his own group with his two sons, Levi and Jacob. Now, The Sound is back and better than ever before. Levi is 20 and Jacob is 19. They’re youthful, talented, and they have a passion for God’s music. Rob, Levi, and Jacob are all musicians as well as singers.

What is The Sound? The Sound is family harmony, quality musicianship, great songs, and a whole lot of fun. Their goal is to see people come to the life-changing touch of Jesus Christ.

Knute Larson
Knute coaches pastors and churches, majoring in leadership, making changes, and daily grace, drawing on 43 years as a pastor and eight as a pastoral coach. His last 26 years as a senior pastor were with The Chapel, in Akron, Ohio. Now he coaches churches, some as adjunct staff, teaches Doctor of Ministry courses on church leadership for Trinity and Grace, consults for Great Lakes Evangelical Free Churches, and is the editor-host for Pastorpedia, a monthly publication and video for pastors.

Knute and Jeanine live in Sawyer, down at the southwest corner of Michigan. They are parents of two married daughters in the Chicago area, and three grandchildren. He is the author of three books and two commentaries and a graduate of both Grace and Trinity seminaries.
