Oaks Dining Hall And Conference Rooms

Oaks Dining Hall is located on the crest of a hill overlooking beautiful Cedar Lake in Northwest Indiana. The walks and terraces are designed with plenty of vistas for your viewing pleasure. Take a seat outside in the lower level deck chairs and porch swings and listen to the waves lapping against the shore.
 
Our culinary staff is proud to offer you some of the finest food you will ever have. As you walk into the large Dining Hall, you will be greeted with a full view of the lake. With windows on three sides of the Dining Hall, everyone can find the perfect seat to relax in and enjoy the meal and company.
 
The conference level of the Oaks is located just below the Dining Hall and is accessible by indoor stairs, outside walkways, and an elevator. The meeting rooms can be set up for many different layouts and for multiple functions. With windows that look out over the lake, the meeting spaces in Lower Oaks are the perfect location for breakout sessions and special events.
 
For your convenience, bathrooms and a water fountain are on both levels.

High Quality Buffet Dining for Your Conference or Retreat

Great food makes a great camp experience. At Cedar Lake, we go beyond the basics with meals that are fresh, filling, and full of flavor — all in an atmosphere where memories are made and connections grow.

Dining Room

Meals are served in our spacious dining room in the Oaks building. Round tables with seating for 6 are used to encourage mealtime conversation. When multiple groups are served, adequate seating is reserved for each group.

Meal Service

Meals are served buffet style and include two beverage bars with milk, chocolate milk, a cold drink fountain, juices, tea, coffees, and other hot beverages. At breakfast, a hot entrée and full breakfast, as well as a selection of cold cereals, a yogurt bar, and sliced fruit, is available. Our salad bar is a welcome addition to any meal and is served at both lunch and dinner. Of course, you will want to save room for dessert!

Snacks

We serve great snacks for your entire group in our Dining Room. We offer beverages, chips, pizza, nachos & cheese, hot pretzels & cheese, and ice cream sundaes. We can also provide other snacks delivered to activity spaces upon request including s’mores, milk & cookies, ice cream novelties and much more. We also offer our Kandy Kabin to groups as requested.

Special Dietary Needs

Although we cannot guarantee allergen-free food service, we will do our best to accommodate most food allergies or intolerances. We have a microwave and full-size refrigerator available to guests who wish to bring along supplemental snacks or low/no-prep foods for their own use. Please contact us at least 1 week prior to your retreat or camp to make special dietary arrangements.

Special Diets (Gluten-Free • Dairy-Free • Vegetarian)

We are committed to making your stay the best possible. Of course, that includes the delicious food you will enjoy! We are able to confidently accommodate special diets for those requiring gluten-free, dairy-free or vegetarian meals.


We have ideas for those with other dietary requirements or food allergies; however, for your safety, and because we do not have a licensed dietician, we have had to limit the special meals to the three listed above.
