Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will work to maximize the ministry’s effectiveness by building on a foundation of successful programs and developing new events in line with the organization’s current season of major growth. The ideal candidate will have skills in program administration and implementation, especially the development and management of camping programs. The position partners with the Director of Ministry Events to develop and oversee a variety of events and ongoing programs, including day camps, overnight camps, adult retreats, and day programs.

 

Full Time Employment

Maintenance Assistant

40 hours per week position, including some evening and weekend hours. Candidates are expected to have a good working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, basic electric & HVAC, grounds keeping, etc. Must have working familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.

Part Time Employment

Food Service Staff

15 – 20 hour per week position, including evening and weekend hours. Staff will provide quality meals and service to guests. Dishwasher responsibilities include bussing dining hall tables and cleaning dishes and facilities. Cook and Prep Cook responsibilities include preparing and maintaining our salad bar/condiments, monitoring food production at meal time, and cleaning dining facilities. Candidates must be able to lift 30–50 lbs.

Retreat Coordinator

The Retreats Coordinators are a dedicated team that work to facilitate the requests of church and other religious groups as they plan their retreats and conferences by contracting, event-planning and hosting events. A successful candidate must have a drive to serve more people, communicate professionally, be hospitality minded and be in an actively growing relationship with Jesus. This position offers 24 to 32 hours per week and will host guests least one weekend each month.

Summer Camp Employment

Program Assistant

Program Assistants work with the Program Director to provide leadership for the Team Leaders and facilitate the daily operations of the camp program. Program Assistants deliver instruction and discipline to ensure maximum effectiveness of the programming and maintain safety for everyone.

Life Guard

Manages the lakefront. Maintains constant surveillance of patrons at the lakefront; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Training provided.

Team Leader

Team Leaders work with the Program Assistants to provide a safe and caring environment for campers. Team Leaders are responsible for planning, leading, and implementing core and non-core programs and experiences for children in a small group setting. They will also be responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group. Team Leaders are integral for fostering relationships with campers and providing a Christ-like role model. Ultimately, Team Leaders are the “CFO’s”, Chief Fun Officers!

Kandy Kabin Coordinator

Kandy Kabin Associates deliver friendly and helpful customer service to all guests. Associates are responsible for keeping the Kandy Kabin clean and provide help to guests when needed. They are required to accurately track sales and handle payment appropriately and with integrity.

Team Leader

Provide a safe and caring environment for campers by guiding campers through the daily activities and life-changing experiences of camp. Must be 18 years or older.

Program Assistant

Provide leadership for the summer ministry staff and facilitate the daily operations of the camp program. Must be 18 years or older.

Media Coordinator

Enhance the experience of camp for campers and their parents through online interaction and visual components.

Lifeguard

Certified lifeguards provide a safe experience by preventing and responding to emergencies at the lakefront.

Summer Retreat Host

Serve guest groups and facilitate successful events by outside organizations. Desire to serve others, problem solving skills, and strong communication skills are traits of the successful candidate.

Student Leader - Volunteer

July 5-21, assists Team Leaders in providing a safe and caring environment for campers by guiding campers through daily activities and life-changing experiences. Must be entering grades 9–12.

Nurse - Volunteer

Certified physicians or nurses provide 24-hour care during each week of summer camp. Volunteer camp nurses work with the camp staff to provide a safe experience for campers and staff.
