Housekeeping 

The Housekeeping Department of Cedar Lake Ministries is seeking to hire full time employees in April of 2024. Must be available to work weekdays and weekends when needed. The Housekeeping team prepares hotel style accommodations and conference rooms for a Christian Conference Center & Youth Camp. Applicants must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. No experience is required, however, experience in commercial cleaning is a plus. We are looking for detailed and precise individuals who can thrive under time restraints, yet complete impeccable work. Will train on the job!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
 

Kitchen

Responsible for knowing/following proper sanitation standards*Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes used in dining hall/kitchen area.*Responsible for keeping cleaned dishes organized and put away properly*Bussing of tables in dining hall during meal times*Maintaining bag in the box milk & soda; refilling juices in dining hall*Garbage removal & cardboard recycling*Maintaining water softner salt in basement of oaks*Able to lift 50 lbs. **And helping out in another area as specified by manager on duty

Cedar Lake Ministries Housekeeping Department Seasonal Turnover Staff

The Housekeeping Department of Cedar Lake Ministries is seeking to immediately hire seasonal turnover staff for the months of May through September of 2024. The Housekeeping team prepares hotel style accommodations and conference rooms for a Christian Conference Center & Youth Camp. During the busy months of summer, we have guests checking in and out on the same day. Turnovers usually happen on Friday and Sundays of each weekend from 10-4 PM, however, turn overs will be needed during the weekday on a case by case basis. This is a seasonal position and turn over depends on guests’ use of the camp. Applicants must be able to list up to 50 lbs. No experience is required, however, experience in commercial cleaning is a plus. We are looking for detailed and precise individuals who can thrive under time restraints, yet complete impeccable work. Hourly rate is $14 an hour. We will train!

Full Time Shift Lead

The Housekeeping Department of Cedar Lake Ministries is seeking to immediately hire a full time Shift Lead in April 2024. The Housekeeping team prepares hotel style accommodations and conference rooms for a Christian Conference Center & Youth Camp. The work is physical and fast paced, but we work together as a team.

Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. No experience in Housekeeping is required, however, experience in commercial cleaning is a plus. We are looking to hire an individual who has leadership experience, willingness/ patience to teach, the knowledge to take care of their employees, and can start each day empowering their team. Being detailed oriented, level headedness, and the ability to work under stress is a must. Average work hours are 7-5 PM on weekdays and 6:30-5 PM on weekends, however, this is subject to change. You will not work every weekend. Up to 40 hours per week during our busy season. Starting rate is $14.50 per hour
