TREK: Teens Reaching and Encouraging Kids

TREK – Teens Reaching and Encouraging Kids – is a short-term mission trip for high school students. The program takes place at Cedar Lake Ministries. Participants of TREK will be on the front line of ministry as they directly serve children attending Day Camp at CLM. This mission trip is intended for Christian high school students who wish to make a difference by sharing the Gospel with children.

TREK groups will receive training materials to complete at home in preparation for their week of ministry. This will include evangelism training, a tool for recording and sharing a testimony, and information about the week of camp. Conference calls with parents or the group and fundraising support are also offered.

Individuals will arrive at CLM on the Sunday morning prior to scheduled camp for group training and preparation. They will gather that afternoon to discuss the mission, brief on the schedule for the week ahead, settle into lodging, join a tour, and finalize personal assignments for the week. Day Camp will run from 8:00am until 5:30pm. Following camp each day, the group will debrief on the events of the day and receive coaching while enjoying a meal together. Evening schedules are flexible based on individual group preference, subject to CLM policies. Activities may include activities on the grounds, relaxing in common areas, a worship or teaching time, or off site excursions.
