TREK: Teens Reaching and Encouraging Kids

TREK – Teens Reaching and Encouraging Kids – is a short-term mission trip for high school students. The program takes place at Cedar Lake Ministries. Participants of TREK will be on the front-line of ministry as they directly serve children attending Day Camp at CLM. This mission trip is intended for Christian high school students who wish to make a difference by sharing the Gospel with children.
TREK groups will receive training materials to complete at home to prepare for their week of ministry. This will include evangelism training, a tool for recording and sharing a testimony, and information about the week of camp. Conference calls with parents or the group, and fundraising support are also offered.
Groups will report at the camp on the Sunday morning before camp for training and preparation. The afternoon will be spent discussing the mission, briefing participants on the week ahead, moving into lodging, a tour, and finalizing where each person will serve for the week. Day Camp will run from 8:00am until 5:30pm. Following camp each day, the group will eat together, debrief the events of the day, and receive coaching. Evening activities are up to each group and can include activities around the camp, relaxing in their lodging, a worship or teaching time, or heading off the grounds.
